Awareness about Lymphatic Filariasis
As a child, I remember a Pundit ji in my village who suffered from Hanthi Paon (Lymphatic Filariasis). Initially, we kids were scared seeing his condition, but over time, our fear turned to empathy. He was limited in his movements, unable to walk properly, and his daily life was full of challenges.
So, when the Gates Foundation India reached out to me to help spread awareness about फाइलेरिया, I couldn’t resist.
This disease, though incurable, is preventable through proper medication. Let’s raise our voices to ensure no one else has to face the lifelong difficulties that Pundit ji and so many others experience.
